May 04 Saturday
The Early Music Duo "Musicke's Cordes" performs a concert of Baroque music from the mountain courts of 17th-century Austria and northern Italy. Titled "Musica Montana," the performance features music by German and Austrian composer performed on period instruments.
The period sounds of Baroque violin and early lutes perfectly matches the acoustic space of historic San Miguel Chapel. "Musicke's Cordes" is Samuel Breene (Baroque violin) and Jeffrey Noonan (lutes, early guitars and theorbo) and has played across the country for a decade. The duo has performed up and down the eastern seaboard and across the Midwest. Although they have played concerts in Colorado, this performance is the duo's first in Santa Fe.
