Nazneen Akhtar Rahim is a British American actor, producer and entertainment journalist. Originally from London, she studied Law at the University of Westminster and then worked in humanitarian assistance. She hosts the radio show Cinema Scope KSFR on Santa Fe Public Radio KSFR.org and was a writer for New Mexico Film News, focusing on the local independent movie scene.

1) How did you happen to join the KSFR family?

Producer/Host Dan Pavlis is a lifelong music fan who has worked professionally and semi-professionally as a drummer throughout his adult life. He knows how to craft a show that is insightful and interesting.

The character of Reverend Billy was developed in the mid 1990s by actor and playwright, William Talen.

Rob Hochschild first reported news for WCIB (Falmouth, MA) and WKVA (Lewistown, PA). He later worked for three public radio stations in Boston before joining KSFR as news reporter.

Kaitlin Haase is the Xerces Society Southwest Pollinator Conservation Specialist and has been based in Santa Fe since 2020. She works to create climate-resilient, connected pollinator habitat in Santa Fe and the Southwest. She collaborates with and educates public and private land managers in the desert Southwest on pollinator-friendly practices for landscaping, gardening, and open space restoration.

Michelle Stizza is an Assistant Professor and Family and Consumer Science (FCS) Agent at NMSU Santa Fe Cooperative Extension. As an FCS Agent, she provides programs on Food and Nutrition, Health and Wellness, and Financial Health and Wellness. She believes in creating programs that can help transform lives and create strong, healthy, and vibrant communities.

Lissa Johnson expresses her interests in gardening and food – growing and cooking – through volunteering with the Santa Fe Extension Master Gardeners and as a board member of the local Slow Food Santa Fe chapter, co-organizing events along with Nina. She is a regular shopper at the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market and takes every opportunity to encourage others to do the same!

Nina Rosenberg first fell in love with northern New Mexico when she visited in the early 1980s and feels incredibly fortunate to currently call Santa Fe home. She is an active board member of Slow Food Santa Fe where she partners with Lissa to organize local chapter activities that promote celebrating and learning about food traditions and issues. A perfect Saturday includes an early morning visit to Santa Fe’s Farmers’ Market and many hours of cooking and baking. Someday she will do more than talk about starting a vegetable and herb garden.
