Author and contemporary sculptor Jeffie Brewer will sign his new book, “Joy Machine” (K.Co Press) from 5 to 7 p.m., April 11, at Materiality Fine Art, 241 Delgado St., in Santa Fe. The signing event is held in conjunction with the opening of new and existing work by the artist in an exhibition also titled “Joy Machine.”

“Joy Machine,” the exhibition, will be on view through April 30, 2025.

Brewer has exhibited in Santa Fe for many years, with his iconic and recognizable sculptures, including a permanent installation at Inn of the Turquoise Bear. His work can be found in Santa Fe, across the southwest, and around the country. His artworks are often inspired by other-than-human inhabitants of the Southwest, like foxes, buffalo and longhorns, engaging a vibrant collector community and inspiring lasting connection with viewers.

"Joy Machine" will be available for purchase at the gallery before and during the event.
