Panel Questions Clinton On Foundation Donations
Secretary of State-designate Hillary Clinton appeared before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Tuesday for her confirmation hearing. The New York senator, and former first lady, got a generally warm reception from her colleagues. Some were a bit cooler, though, about foreign donations to her famous husband's foundation.

Debt Forces Tribune Co. To File For Bankruptcy
Tribune Co., which owns the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, The Baltimore Sun and other daily newspapers, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The conglomerate also owns TV stations, the Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field. It's been crushed by a drop in advertising and $13 billion in debt.

Fossett's Plane Found A Year After Crashing
Searchers have turned up the wreckage of adventurer Steve Fossett's airplane in California's Inyo National Forest. Fossett vanished more than a year ago while flying a single-engine plane from Nevada. A hiker said he'd found ID cards and a pilot's license with Fossett's name, leading to the latest search. Fossett's remains have not been found.

Credit Agencies To Ease Up On Medical Debt Reporting
Starting in September, the three main credit agencies will wait 180 days before including medical debt on a credit report, giving consumers time to resolve disputes with insurers.
