Faizan Zaki won the 2025 Scripps National Spelling Bee, held in National Harbor, Md.

"Éclaircissement."

And with that word, 13-year-old Faizan Zaki won the 100th Scripps National Spelling Bee Thursday night.

If you weren't playing along at home, take our mini-Bee quiz, which uses words from the real thing. You can't stop and ask the judges for the Latin root or whatever, but do your best.
