International aid workers pour food and supplies into a small town in western Sudan, hoping to persuade some 30,000 people not to flee to eastern Chad. The United Nations is trying to keep Sudanese people from joining overburdened refugee camps in Chad. Arab militia have forced over a million people from their homes in Darfur.
