NM Court Orders MVD To Make Changes

A conflict between New Mexico law regarding non-REAL id's and doumentation required by the state Motor Vehicle Division for authorizing those id's has been settled by the courts.  The settlement affects only non-REAL id's .. or those accepted by the state, but not by the federal government. KSFR's Ellen Lockyer reports that advocates for the homeless, for immigrants and for civil rights applaud the decision.
