Santa Fe City Councilor Carol Romero-Wirth has introduced a resolution aimed at starting the city on the road to a change in city elections. The resolution calls for a special city election to be held concurrently with the Santa Fe County election in November, in which city voters would be asked to approve removing certain provisions in the city charter which regulate the current city election data andterms of office of elected officials. The Santa Fe City Council will take up the measure at its August 8 meeting.
