If you live in New Mexico the issue of uranium mining is never far out of the news. We’ll look in depth at this today — first with this story on Uranium workers’ Day held at the NM Legislature a few weeks ago. Both chambers passed memorials that day in support of U.S. Senate Bill 197 that would amend the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act of 1990 to provide compensation for uranium miners and millers in New Mexico.
