As KSFR News has been reporting today, Albuquerque City Councilors voted Wednesday to abolish Columbus Day. Now…fear not, Duke City listeners: your federal holiday hasn't been cancelled. It's just been replaced with an observance of the people who were here long before Columbus ever made land in the New World, and who are still here today.
