May 14 - Nakba Day Commemorates Palestinian Displacement

The Vatican this week made a move to recognize Palestinian statehood. The treaty, not surprisingly, was a welcome statement for Palestinians, while upsetting the Israeli government. This move comes as supporters of Palestine gather to commemorate Nakba Day or the Day of Palestinian Catastrophe, which takes place tomorrow May 15th. In Santa Fe supporters will gather on the plaza from noon to 1pm. In the evening there will be a special presentation by longtime author and former CIA agent Kathleen Christison who just returned from Gaza and the West Bank. Listen Here
