Los Luceros Historic Site staff will teach participants about the history of how people celebrate Día de Los Muertos or Day of the Dead, a Mexican tradition that honors the souls of those who have passed away. After learning about the celebration, participants will learn how to create an altar and then help build a community-style altar at the site. Participants are welcome to bring photographic contributions of loved ones who have passed to add to the altar. Activity included with admission of $7/adult and free to children 16 and younger.
