GLOBAL SANTA FE 2024 GALA & 60TH ANNIVERSARY KICKOFF CELEBRATION

GLOBAL SANTA FE 2024 GALA & 60TH ANNIVERSARY KICKOFF CELEBRATION
Global Santa Fe celebrates the kickoff of its 60th Anniversary Year with an evening of insight and inspiration at its 2024 Annual Gala featuring veteran White House and national security correspondent David Sanger and WorldWiser Award recipient Laura Liswood on Saturday, September 7 at 6:00 pm at Eldorado Hotel & Spa, 309 W. San Francisco St., Santa Fe.
We are honored to welcome David Sanger as our featured speaker - a renowned journalist, bestselling author, and White House reporter who has covered five presidents from Clinton to Biden. With over 40 years at the New York Times, he is a part of three Pulitzer Prize-winning teams, and is a regular news contributor. Sanger also teaches national security policy at Harvard's Kennedy School. His latest book, New Cold Wars, delves into America's simultaneous confrontations with two distinct adversaries and offers a gripping narrative on critical questions of our era. Two months before the 2024 election, Sanger’s insider view of global challenges facing the next administration could not be more timely.
We are also thrilled to present Laura Liswood with this year's Global Santa Fe’s WorldWiser Award, an honor given to those in our community whose hard-earned wisdom, continuous personal growth, and dedication to influencing and uplifting others set them apart. Laura Liswood is Secretary General of the Council of Women World Leaders housed at the UN, Former Managing Director and Senior Advisor for Goldman Sachs, and an international award-winning speaker on leadership, diversity and inclusion, unconscious bias and women in politics, and a best-selling author. She interviewed 19 current and former women presidents and prime ministers as research for her book and documentary, Women World Leaders, to find out what it would take for a woman to become President of the United States.
Attendees at the gala will also have an opportunity to learn about and meet some of this year's participants in Global Santa Fe's dynamic new Youth Leadership Diplomacy Program which includes an engaging curriculum and simulations designed by the National Museum of American Diplomacy and culminates in an exchange trip to Cuba.
