National Public Lands Day

National Public Lands Day is often thought of as a day in which volunteers do work like trail maintenance and litter pickup on National Park and BLM lands around the country. There are volunteer opportunities at Cochiti Lake on Saturday, September 30, and there will be trash cleanup at the Glade Run Recreation Area in Farmington, and Windsor Trail upgrade work at Santa fe National Forest.  Many of the parks and refuges are not charging entry fees on Saturday, either. Park Ranger Chris Judson tells us about what's going on at Bandelier National Monument to observe National Public Lands Day.
