Indigenous Women Murdered at 10x the National Average: Senator Udall Takes Up the Cause

Senator Udall led a day of action on the senate floor to call attention to the alarming epidemic of violence against women in indian country.

84% of indigenous women have experienced violence in their lifetimes. That's 4 out of 5 women who have experienced violence. In some indigenous communities, women are murdered at 10 times the rate of the national average. and  and 1 out 3 indigenous women have been raped.
