May 31 - New Federal Overtime Law Aids Low-Wage Workers, Poses Challenges For Nonprofits

Recent changes in federal workers law--specifically regarding overtime pay--will have profound effect across the country and especially right here in New Mexico which is home to one of the largest concentrations of nonprofit organizations in the country. Elsa Lopez and Marcela Diaz spoke with Judy Conti, a federal advocacy coordinator for the National employment law project, about what the federal changes were and how it will impact organizations. Conti began by describing the what the National employment law project does.
