COVID-19 booster shots from Pfizer are now rolling out in New Mexico. 

Some 365,000 people are eligible for the first round in October for those are at least six months out from their two-shot vaccine course and are in high-risk categories.

Data from the New Mexico Department of Health is now showing that kids who identify as Hispanic or Latino are at the bottom of the list when it comes to vaccination rates in the state.

New Mexico is now set to fully reopen in two weeks.

 

On Friday, New Mexico’s Governor announced that most of the public health restrictions for the state will be gone, effective July 1st. The state says it will continue an aggressive vaccination push.
