New research by the American Automobile Association's Foundation for Traffic Safety is finding that people who use both alcohol and cannabis are some of the most dangerous drivers on the road.

The research shows that drivers who use both substances are more likely to speed, text, run red lights, and drive aggressively. This comes on the cusp of New Mexico's decision to legalize recreational-use cannabis.

KSFR's Mary Lou Cooper sat down with the chief safety expert at AAA to learn more.

Editor's Note: The American Automobile Association has expressed that their organization opposes the legalization of recreational-use cannabis.
